Nassau, The Bahamas (August 1, 2024) – Nassau-based IT solutions provider Cloud Carib strengthens its dedication to nurturing the next generation of Bahamian STEM talent through substantial investments this summer in local youth programs. With over $10,000 in combined cash and in-kind donations, Cloud Carib has empowered organizations like BETA Camp, Aisha Bowe’s HACK <IT> Bahamas, Roots of Change, and the Bahamas Blockchain Business School.

“At Cloud Carib, we believe in the power of technology to transform lives and communities,” said M’khel Ferguson Marketing Operations Manager at Cloud Carib. “By investing in these programs, we’re not only equipping young Bahamians with valuable skills but also inspiring them to pursue careers in the growing technology sector.”

The company also made a cash donation to sponsor 5 select students to attend HACK <IT> Bahamas, a hackathon empowering young minds to create tech-driven solutions.

“Cloud Carib’s mission of digital transformation begins with the global network of engineers and IT professionals we engage with daily,” said Victor Kovacs, Chief Operating Officer of Cloud Carib. “We’re passionate about nurturing the next generation of engineers by offering opportunities to learn, collaborate, and expand their STEM knowledge. The company’s cutting-edge Center of Excellence (COE) has served as a central hub for numerous programs, hosting camps, workshops, and events, including a two-day all-boys summer camp as the title sponsor for the Mirror Mirror Male Mentorship Program, where participants delved into social media best practices, harnessing the power of AI, and toured Cloud Carib 24/7 Command and Control Center. Following this camp, the COE also hosted a four-day camp with Blockchain Business School, focusing on blockchain technology and its applications.

“At Roots of Change, we believe in the power of community. This year’s theme, ‘Innovate, Ignite, Unleash Through the Power of Technology,’ captures our mission perfectly,” stated President Melissa Allen Maynard, President of Roots of Change Organization. “We are so grateful to the Cloud Carib team for their partnership.”
